Though the collection had many light, white pieces I still got an overwhelming sense of melancholy. Possibly due to the models hair and makeup. They looked like they had chalk dust in their hair.
The first dress had nice big fluttery bits on the sleeves which would be a great party dress. There was a gorgeous fitted body-con dress with this weird halter bit that looked embroidered. It was stunning. I think designer Martine Sitbon has a real sense of what a woman is comfortable wearing and I don’t mean that just because she is a woman (plenty of female designers have no idea) but it’s the way she cuts and drapes to flatter a woman’s figure while still creating modern clothes that sets her apart from her contemporaries.
