Bernhard Willhelm isn’t a man who’s afraid of colour. His choices are often brave and always beautiful. For spring the clothes looked like they’d been walked through the remnants of Holi (the Hindu festival of colours, where different coloured dyes are thrown at each other in spring). Dresses had flashes of colour seeping into their hems as if they’d waded through a coloured stream or jumped in a prussian puddle. Vibrant orange blended into sunset yellow sleeves on a dress anda black and white cotton shift appeared half painted in red as if it were an idea not fully realised. It was magical. Thestyling was distracting, the clothes told the story just fine without the need for maple leaves and other flora tangled in the model's hair.
