ANTONIO BERARDI SPRING 2010

Berardi showed a very polished collection for Spring. It opened with a beige boyfriend blazer, sleeves pushed up, a beaded blush corset and a skirt with a lapel draped elegantly across the front. This wasn’t some theatrical gimmick but more about construction. This led onto some amazingly structured pieces such as armour-like bubble skirts and jackets. The collection then ran through a series of all-red and all-blue draped looks. A black tailored coat had sheer sleeves which makes you think more about construction and looking at a traditional piece in a new way. Great stuff.
